I havent tested any other kernal than the one i listed in the script:

The 3 .c files should work for the modern versions at least yes. Minor kernal changes shouldnt matter.

That script should do everything you need to patch the kernal, from downloading it, to downloading the driver files, to building it and injecting it into your existing installation. You need to run it as a shell script. Paste it into a text file and rename it to .sh
Building the kernal can take anywhere from 1 - 5 hours, but expect 3. Doing this in a VM will not work.
